Vedic Psychology & Astrological Counseling
Vedic Psychology sees the individual as part of a much larger, cohesive reality. Vedic Counseling works from that view, helping you locate yourself within the greater arc of time, so you can meet your past, present, and current crossroads with more clarity. Sessions offer insight, inspiration, and a supportive space to think through what's next or review the past.
Jyotiṣa (Vedic Astrology)
Jyotiṣa is a mathematically sophisticated, predictive astrological system from India. It offers guidance on how to move forward in alignment with a universal plan. Your birth chart is the karmic map which serves as a foundation for each session.
About Allison
Allison has studied Vedic Astrology seriously for over 10 years, often spending 15 hours a week in class as a student. Since 2021, she has served as a teaching assistant for Steven Highburger's three-year Vedic Traditions program, and she spent a decade leading Yoga Teacher Trainings. Her style is direct and warm at once, grounded in 25 years of training in Vedic and healing arts and the ethics of counseling and advising.

Rectification: Find your birth time
Many people do not have their birth time listed on their birth certificate and do not have access to their birth time. We can work together to locate your birth time with a series of questions using a variety of tools from Vedic Astrology. Sometimes it is very straightforward, and we can find the birth time easily, especially if you know whether you were born in the morning, afternoon, or evening. However, sometimes it takes a few hours to pinpoint the correct time.
My rate for rectification is $120 an hour and you can schedule your first hour above.
What I've noticed is that when rectification does take a few hours to locate, the journey itself is quite enlightening. I will be asking all sorts of questions about your life experiences, family and relationship history, and general strategies for approaching life.
muhurta: Fine tune timing for life events
Muhurta is an ancient science for choosing the right time for a big life event. It's the oldest form of Vedic Astrology, and it invites harmony into our lives by giving us insight around when to do what, so we can live the best life possible and avoid future suffering. People come for muhurta to know when to schedule big life events like marriage, buying property, surgery, and travel dates.
It's an intricate system that takes effort, time, and head scratching on my part to find the best muhurta for you, based on your own individual birth chart and the patterns unfolding in real time.
You can schedule your first hour above and we will move through the questions below together, or email your answers directly to ombluesky@gmail.com before we meet. The more narrow your window of time for the event, the less time it will take me to find the adequate time. The wider the window of time, the longer it will take me to find the proper time.
- What is your birth date, place, and exact time. Exact time matters, please check your birth certificate.
- What are you trying to do (buy a house, select a date for surgery, start a new sadhana, get married, send in an application, ask for a promotion, leave a job, etc)?
- What result are you looking for with this event? Please be specific about the intended outcome, even if you think it’s obvious.
- When is the soonest date and time the event can take place?
- When is the latest date and time the event can take place?
- Where is the event taking place?
- What are all of your conflicts in that window of time? Due to the time consuming nature of choosing a muhurta, it’s crucial you list out any and all conflicts now so that I can find a time that works logistically for you in addition to being well aligned. If I choose a time for you and you realize after the fact that the time won’t work after all, you will need to schedule more of my study time to choose another muhurta for you.

There is no cancellation fee if you cancel or reschedule with 24 hours notice. If you cancel with less than 24 hours notice you will be charged for 50% of the session.
There are no refunds for completed sessions.
There is no reimbursement when you don't show up for a session. You will need to schedule and pay for a new appointment should you miss your session.
